Delivery of Service

Last updated: 10 April 2026

"Palmy Weather" is a privately owned weather website which displays weather data gathered from a private weather station on a website which is publicly viewable. This is primarily a self-funded service with some funds received through donations.

Although attempts are made, we are not obligated to maintain service during exceptional weather events. Many aspects of how we provide our data are vulnerable to such extreme events. This includes maintaining a connection to our remote Tauranga based web server where our data is uploaded to and is where our website is hosted for public viewing.

Vulnerabilities included but are not limited to:maintaining power at the home and remote web host location, maintaining an Internet connection between the home and remote web host location.

"Palmy Weather" in Palmerston North and our external Tauranga based web host have invested in backup power which will maintain our services to the public for a limited time during some unforeseen circumstances, however these still have limitations. Unforeseen circumstances or events outside of our control may result in situations not limited to: no website access/website does not display or weather data including warnings which are out of date.

Disclaimer: Although "Palmy Weather" tries to provide accurate and reliable information, there may be inaccuracies. The weather forecast and information displayed on this website is a calculation based upon the data compiled from the local weather station.
This data is not intended for protection or preservation of life or property. Use discretion when making weather based decisions.
