Amateur (ham) radio is a non-commercial hobby and communication service. Licensed operators use designated radio frequencies to talk locally and globally without using the internet or cell networks. It is vital for emergency response. This repeater site on North Range Road offers connection and coverage for those radio enthusiasts to communicate with each other across the wider Manawatū and Tararua.
